Once a man stops defending himself in any form, he truly begins to live for others
Nobody knows who and what they are in their essence, and yet everybody defends themselves. Although we do not know what life is, we all instinctively defend it, without knowing why.
By defending the close ones, we defend only our identification. Once a thing or a person becomes a part of our lives, we are ready to defend it at the cost of life. Therefore, as long as a person is defending himself in others, he does not defend anyone.
Only once we do not fear for ourselves anymore, compassion is born in us, that in symbiosis of other footsteps and our own step takes us to the trail of life.
